In the quest to create a great synergy with the media, as part of the institute’s vision of creating substance awareness about food safety, a representative of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) Lagos Chapter visited the management of Daar Communications Ltd (FAAJI FM). In attendance were; Dr. Nureni Opaleye FNIFST, (member of the NIFST Radio project) and Mrs. Kikelomo Amoreoluwa (Vice Chairman, NIFST Lagos Chapter).

The courtesy visit yielded a positive steadfast outcome in a bid to launch the NIFST FOOD Safety radio program.
Program slot approval and tentative airing duration were among the subjects of discussion during the visit. The official proposal on operational cost and program architecture has been received and is under review by the management of Daar Communications Ltd. The management promised their commitment to ensure the NIFST FOOD SAFETY radio program sees the light of the day.
